The Tofino whale watching season begins in March with the Pacific Rim Whale Festival and lasts into autumn with peak sightings in spring during the gray whale northward migration and throughout the summer months culminating in their southbound return in early September.
All whale watching trips last between 2-3 hours and you will also most likely encounter eagles, seals, and sometimes orcas and porpoise. Choose between high speed Zodiacs or the comfort of the larger covered boats.
