Wolves, mountain lions, bald eagles, great blue herons, gulls and Bears have free roaming rights. DOGS DO NOT.
We understand that many visitors need to travel with dogs – please keep pets leashed at all times, especially on the beaches.
It is illegal to permit dogs to chase wild and migratory shorebirds or other wildlife in their natural habitat. Fines are stiff and they are levied frequently in the National Park and throughout the District of Tofino.
