Notes on Sea Kayaking in Clayoquot SoundMuch of the water in Clayoquot Sound is protected from the open ocean by island barriers and offers exciting opportunities for everyone to enjoy the tranquil and engaging art of kayaking. Most outings are guided by professional guides and offer safe and informative journeys. No experience is required when with qualified guides. Tofino has a new self-kayak launch at the bottom of First Street to the left of the dock. Long term parking is available in the lot north of the district office. Please be a responsible Kayaker and practice "Leave no trace ethics." Ask your guides or kayak rental outfit for more info.
